Basketball Teams Split Against Blue Mountain College


The Lady Eagles narrowly defeated Blue Mountain College 69-68 in women's college basketball Monday night.  The Lady Eagles were led in scoring by Kala Tyus with 23 points. Jessica Shephard and Cheyenne Childers each chipped in 11 points to help improve their record to 9-2 on the season.

The men's team dropped a close game against Blue Mountain 73-70. The Eagles were led by Kyle Harvey with 21 points, Marcus Massey 18 points, and Logan Chappell 16 points. The Eagles are now an even 6-6 on the season.

Both teams will travel to Columbia College Thursday to play their first American Midwest Conference game. The women's game will begin at 5:30 with the men to follow.
