Basketball Teams Split Against Missouri Baptist


In front of a great crowd Saturday afternoon the basketball teams split victories against Missouri Baptist University.

The Lady Eagles won 90-71 behind a monster game from freshman forward Cheyenne Childers. Childers led the Lady Eagles with 32 points and 14 rebounds. Three other players scored in double figures for the Lady Eagles. With the victory they  move to 13-4 and 2-2 in conference play.

The Eagles lost a tough overtime game 95-90 to fall to 7-9 overall. Sophomore forward Kyle Harvey led the Eagles with 38 points and 10 rebounds. Wes Livingston chipped in 12 while Phillip Sykes added 11.

Both teams will be on the road Tuesday, January 25 against Hannibal LaGrange University. The game is a rescheduled contest from last week. The women's game will be at 5:00 pm with the men to follow.
