Bethany Oakley/Women's Hoops

Williams Baptist College will have the services of post player Bethany Oakley on its women’s basketball team. Oakley, who is from Lyles, Tenn., has signed her commitment to play for the Lady Eagles.

Oakley, 6'1", is transferring to Williams from Dyersburg State Community College. She will join DSCC teammates Kala Tyus and Becky Caldwell, who have also signed with Williams this spring.

She is the daughter of Tim and Kathy Oakley. Taking part in her signing at DSCC were her parents, Dyersburg State head coach Rian Puckett, Williams head coach Carol Halford and WBC assistant coach Mike Chipman.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Lady Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
