Business Honor Society Inducts New Members

Five students at Williams Baptist College have been inducted into Sigma Beta Delta, the international honor society for business. The announcement was made at the Department of Business luncheon held on March 30. The inductees are Courtney Sublett of Highland, Patrick Corder of Smithville, Lauren Doty of Horseshoe Bend, Cassie Jones of Walnut Ridge, and Mark Yawson of Jonesboro.

Sigma Beta Delta is open to college juniors and seniors in the field of business. To qualify for the honor society, the students must rank in the top 20 percent of their class and be invited to join by faculty of the college’s business department.

Sublett, who is a senior, is the daughter of Dennis and Leigh Ann Sublett of Highland.

Corder, who is a junior, is married to Jessica Corder, and he is the son of Stephen and Patricia Corder of Smithville.

Doty, who is a senior, is the daughter of Tom and Brenda Doty of Horseshoe Bend.

Jones, who is a junior, is the daughter of Timmy and Tammy Jones of Walnut Ridge.

Yawson, who is a senior, is the son of Mark Yawson and Charlotte Yawson, both of the nation of Ghana.

Bachelor’s degrees offered through the WBC business department include business administration, computer information science and finance.
