Coleman Chooses Williams
Donovan Coleman has signed a commitment to play basketball at Williams Baptist College. Coleman is a native of North Little Rock, Ark.
Coleman is the son of Andre and Dawrre Nooner. He credits them as mentors throughout his life, and specifically his dad throughout the recruitment process.
Coleman is a 6’5’’ forward. He chose Williams because he has friends at the school and likes the small college feel. He is fulfilling a lifetime dream playing basketball at the collegiate level.
Coleman’s height caught the eye of Coach Josh Austin earlier this year at a basketball game. Austin believes Coleman’s long size will allow him to generate mismatches on the perimeter.
Austin believes that Coleman will fit in well with the basketball team, as well as the school. The coach stated, "Donovan’s attitude towards basketball and academics is spot on to our mission here at Williams. People like Donovan make Williams better as a whole.”
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
