DeJournett Inks for Baseball

Chase DeJournett will stay in Lawrence County to continue his baseball career. The Sloan-Hendrix High School graduate and Imboden, Ark., resident has signed his commitment to play at Williams Baptist College.

DeJournett was an all-conference and all-region selection this season for the Greyhounds. A utility player, he had a .327 batting average this year.

As a student at SHHS, he was a member of FFA, Health Organization Students of America, student council and Future Teachers of America. He is a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church.

He is the son of Shawn and Sherrie Johnson of Imboden. He is the grandson of James and Georgia Ratliff of Imboden and Roy and Shirley Johnson of Highland.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
