Dolores Magee Honored at Retirement Luncheon
Faculty and administration at Williams Baptist College gathered last week to pay tribute to Dolores Magee, who is retiring at the end of this school year. The college held a retirement luncheon in Magee’s honor Friday, April 27.
Magee has worked at Williams for the past 13 years, where she has been in charge of WBC’s Harty Counseling Center, as well as being director of career services. She has also taught Spanish for a number of years.
She was presented with a retirement plaque by WBC President Dr. Jerol Swaim, who thanked Magee for developing the counseling center and expanding the role of career services at the school.
Magee told the crowd she will miss the college and her many friends at WBC, but she said she is looking forward to retirement and already has a full agenda of things she plans to do.
Her husband, Dr. Bob Magee, will continue to work at WBC as chair of the music department and director of the Williams Singers.
