Head coach Josh Austin said, “I thought the key tonight was our defense. We did a great job making them take difficult shots and took away second chance points.”
Williams’ defense harassed the Trojans all night. They forced 26 turnovers from Hannibal, while only committing 14 of their own. HLG was held to 15 percent shooting from 3-point field goal range.
WBC shot 45 percent from the field. They were also able to get to the free throw line, making 28 of 32 free throws attempted.
Kyle Harvey led the Eagles with 23 points and five rebounds. Zabian Sanders scored 16 points, six rebounds, and four assists. Following him was Jake Veasley, who chipped in 14 points.
The Eagles have now won two games in a row, and have a record of 8-15 overall.
WBC will jump back on the court when they host the Owls from William Woods University on Thursday, February 16, at 7:30 p.m.
