Eco Fair is Thursday

The annual Eco Fair at Williams Baptist College will be Thursday, March 14, at the new biological station on the WBC campus.  The “Conserving Arkansas’ Agricultural Heritage” themed event will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Dr. Melissa Hobbs, assistant professor of biology at Williams, says the fair’s purpose is to “publicize ecologically focused businesses and organizations and the products and services they provide while encouraging eco-friendly daily habits that promote Christian environmental stewardship.”

Visitors can participate in eco-friendly games, booths, refreshments, music and prizes.  There will also be a seed swap this year.  “Participants can bring seeds, seed bags, a gardening item or something to support the cause,” adds Dr. Hobbs.

The Eco Fair is sponsored by the Department of Natural Sciences at Williams.  For more information or to register a booth, contact Dr. Hobbs at mhobbs@wbcoll.edu.  Deadline to register is March 7.
