Eight Inducted Into Tri-Beta at Williams

Eight students from Williams Baptist College have been inducted into Beta Beta Beta (Tri-Beta) national honor society for biological sciences. The induction ceremony was held in the Rose Room of WBC’s Southerland-Mabee Center on March 9th.
The new inductees are: Jessica Baldwin of Alicia, Amanda Bunch of Blytheville, Scott Evins of Imboden, Ashley Harris of Walnut Ridge, Jenny Massey of Bernie, Mo., Heileigh Miller of Pine Bluff, Harold Owiti of Nairobi, Kenya, and Melissa VanScoy of Beavercreek, Ohio.
The induction was conducted by Williams students Christina Eoff of Wynne and Ashley Vardon of Marmaduke, as well as Nell I. Mondy Professor Dr. Ann V. Paterson, Chair of the WBC Department of Natural Science.
Tri-Beta honors outstanding students in the field of biology. The three stated objectives of the society are to develop scholarship, promote the dissemination of knowledge and encourage research in biological sciences.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
