Black Rock High School senior Tadd Fore has been awarded one of the most prestigious scholarships at Williams Baptist College. Fore, who will enroll at Williams this fall, has been named a recipient of the Founder’s Scholarship.

"The Founder’s Scholarship is one of our top awards in the Scholarship with Honors program at Williams, which tells you that Tadd Fore is an excellent student, as well as a fine person. He has all the qualities it takes to win such a competitive award," said Angela Flippo, vice president for enrollment management at Williams.

Fore was honored for receiving the scholarship during a ceremony in the BRHS library Friday. He will graduate from the school next month.

"It feels good, and I am really honored to receive this scholarship. I will miss this school a lot, but I am looking forward to getting started at Williams. It’s going to be a great experience," Fore said.

He is the son of Steve and Robyn Fore of Powhatan. Also attending the ceremony Friday were his grandparents, Larry and Jo Ann Norman of Jonesboro. Flippo and BRHS principal David Foley also took part in the ceremony.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
