Lady Eagles Pick up Tenth Win
The Williams Baptist College Lady Eagles stormed through the Lady Panthers of Philander Smith College on Thursday evening at Walnut Ridge. The final score was 83-58.

The Lady Eagles opened the game with on a 24-11 run, and led at halftime 37-22. Every player for WBC played in the game as WBC rolled to the victory.
Williams scored 42 points off the bench, including Kim Sutterfield, who led the Lady Eagles with 15 points. She also contributed five assists. Haley Tyler scored 14 points off the bench, making three of her four shots from 3-point range.
Starting point guard Jessica Shepard provided consistent play as she tallied seven points, seven assists, and seven rebounds. Kimberly Wise added 12 points, and Kala Tyus contributed with 11 points, making five of her six shots.
Overall, WBC shot 53 percent from the field and 46 percent from the 3-point line, and it held the Lady Panthers to 28 percent shooting from the field. Williams collected 46 rebounds, compared to 31 for PSC.
The Lady Eagles are 10-5 and have a season high four game winning streak. They will hit the hardwood again on Saturday, January 21, when they travel to Fulton, Mo., to take on 25th ranked William Woods University. The Lady Eagles will return home to face Columbia College on Thursday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m.
