Lady Eagles Remain Undefeated in AMC Play


With conference victories over Missouri Baptist and Park last week, the Williams Baptist College softball team remains undefeated at in American Midwest Conference play. Strong pitching and timely hitting were big factors in the Lady Eagles’ four victories this past week.

Karisa Hendrix pitched every inning in the four wins, improving her record to 11-4 on the season. The sophomore from Cherokee Village, Ark., is holding batters to an impressive season average of .194 while striking out 112. 

Chelsea Sanders had a .500 batting average on the week including two home runs. A junior from Beebe, Ark., Sanders currently leads the AMC in slugging percentage and home runs.

The Lady Eagles will try to remain perfect in conference play this week with important road matchups against William Woods and Columbia College. Their next home contest will be a doubleheader against McKendree April 13 at 2:00 p.m.
