Lady Eagles Sign Thayer’s Mills


Whitney Mills has committed to play basketball for the Lady Eagles of Williams Baptist College.  She signed her commitment in front of family and coaches Wednesday in WBC’s Southerland-Mabee Center.  

Mills is a native of Thayer, Mo.  She graduated from Thayer High School in 2010 and attended Three Rivers Community College.  She has received numerous honors, awards, and achievements from high school through her stint at the junior college.  

In high school basketball she was voted all-state twice, all-district three times, and all-conference four times.  She also received all-conference softball honors for four years, and all-district three times.  Her honors continued at Three Rivers, where she was voted to the all-conference basketball team both years.  

Mills will join a WBC team that finished the 2011-12 season with a record of 17-10.

She is the daughter of Aaron and Jody Mills of Myrtle, Mo.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
