Lady Eagles Sweep Benedictine University


The Lady Eagles moved to a 7-5 record on the season as they soundly defeated Benedictine University-Springfield (NAIA) 6-0 in game one and 11-0 in game two.  The doubleheader was played at WBC Softball Field.

Game 1 (Box)

The Lady Eagles had 8 hits including a 2-4 day from freshman Hallie Horton.

Karisa Hendrix picked up the win in the first game throwing a six shutout inning. She struck out ten while giving up only one hit. With the win she moves to 4-4 on the season.

Game 2  (Box)

In game two it was more of the same as the Lady Eagles cruised to a 11-0 shutout. The Lady Eagles had 12 hits including a monster day from Chelsea Sanders. The junior from Beebe, Arkansas hit two homeruns and batted in four RBI's. Junior Ashley Boyles went 2-2 including a homerun.

Tricia Driver picked up the victory pitching a complete game shutout. With the victory she is now 3-1 on the season.
