Mitchell Named to AMC Defensive Squad

Williams Baptist College shortstop James Mitchell has been selected for the American Midwest Conference All-Defensive Team. Mitchell and six of his teammates were also named to the AMC’s academic all-conference squad.

Mitchell, a junior from Pine Bluff, Ark., had a .922 fielding percentage for the Eagles this year. He is a graduate of Watson Chapel High School, and he is the son of William & Patrice Mitchell of Pine Bluff.

The all-defensive squad was picked by a vote of AMC baseball coaches.

Baseball Eagles named to the academic all-conference list were: Austin Burris, Ethan Clark, Caleb Dudley, Payton Edmondson, Matthew Miller, James Mitchell and Christopher Richardson.
