Paterson Named Treasurer of Science Society
Dr. Ann Paterson of Williams Baptist College has been elected treasurer of the Society for the Study of Amphibians and Reptiles (SSAR). Paterson is the Nell Mondy Chair of Natural Sciences at WBC.
SSAR, a not-for-profit organization established to advance research, conservation, and education concerning amphibians and reptiles, was founded in 1958. It is the largest international herpetological society, and is recognized worldwide for having the most diverse program of publications, meetings and other activities.
Paterson has also served as co-chair of the SSAR membership committee and as a member of the group’s board of directors.
Biology/pre-medicine is the fast growing major at Williams, which is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
