Provost Chosen for AP Test Reading
Dr. Ruth Provost, a member of the psychology faculty at Williams Baptist College, was selected by the College Board for the annual Reading and scoring of its Advanced Placement (AP) Examinations this summer. Provost evaluated tests in AP psychology.
The College Board’s AP Program gives more than 1.8 million high school students an opportunity to take college-level courses and examinations. Students who are successful at the exams can receive credit and/or advanced placement when they enter college.
AP readers are made up of professional educators from the United States, Canada and abroad. The College Board terms the AP Reading as a unique forum in which an academic dialogue between high school and college educators is fostered and strongly encouraged.
It was the first time for Provost to serve as a reader with the AP examinations.
