Retirement Reception for Dr. Swaim is April 17
Dr. Jerol Swaim, president of Williams Baptist College, will be honored at a retirement reception on Tuesday, April 17th. Swaim is retiring as WBC’s president in June. The reception will be from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. in the rotunda of Swaim Administration Building.
Swaim has served at WBC since 1964, starting out as a professor of history, government and economics. He became academic dean of the college in 1973, and he has also held the titles of vice president for academic affairs and executive vice president. In 1995, he agreed to become the fifth president of Williams, a role he has filled since that time.
The reception is open to the public, and all friends and colleagues are invited to attend. Special presentations will be made at 5 p.m. that day.
No gifts are requested, but well wishers are encouraged to send letters and messages of appreciation, which will be compiled in a book and presented to Dr. Swaim.
