Ross to Speak at Youth Emphasis
Dr. Richard Ross, a prominent author in the field of student ministry, will be the featured speaker for the 2011 Youth Ministry Emphasis at Williams Baptist College. The public is invited to the event, scheduled for March 1 and 2 at the college.
Ross’s book Student Ministry and the Supremacy of Christ has become an influential guide for youth ministers, and he is a popular speaker on the subject. He is a youth ministry professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Texas.
The Youth Ministry Emphasis will begin with a community-wide session for youth ministers, volunteer leaders and parents the evening of Tuesday, March 1st. It will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in WBC’s Manley Chapel, and it is open to all churches and denominations.
A series of four sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd, starting at 8:00 a.m., in the Moody Room of WBC’s Mabee-Gwinup Cafeteria. Those sessions will last 50 minutes each and will explore in depth issues and challenges relating to student ministry.
All sessions are open to the public, and there is no charge to attend. Lunch will be provided to all off-campus guests on March 2nd, but a courtesy RSVP is requested for an accurate lunch count.
