Semifinals Set at WBC Tourney

Thursday night's action at the WBC Tournament completed the brackets for semifinal matchups.  The girls of Hillcrest and the boys of Riverside, Pocahontas and Black Rock.

The top seeded Black Rock Zebras rolled past Tuckerman, 79-45.  Also on the boys' side, Riverside edged Batesville Southside, 53-52, and Pocahontas used a fourth quarter surge to pull away from Viola, 61-47.

In girls' action, Hillcrest advanced with a 52-43 win over Viola.

Friday's semifinals will be:
4:30 p.m. - Girls: (2) Corning vs. (3) Hillcrest
5:50 p.m. - Boys: (2) Riverside vs. (3) Hillcrest
7:10 p.m. - Girls: (1) Pocahontas vs. (4) Southside
8:30 p.m. - Boys: (1) Black Rock vs. (5) Pocahontas

Winners of the Friday games advance to the championship contests Saturday night.
