Staci Spargo won’t have to venture far from home to play collegiate softball. The Walnut Ridge High School standout has signed her commitment to play for the Lady Eagles at Williams Baptist College.
Spargo was an all-conference and all-state selection both her freshman and sophomore years, before being sidelined by an injury her junior year. Honors have not yet been announced for her senior year, but she has a season batting average of over .500.
She also played basketball and volleyball in high school, and she was a member of student council, journalism club, drama club and Spanish club. She is a member of United Free Will Baptist Church in Walnut Ridge.
She is the daughter of Jeff Spargo and Margie LeBlanc, both of Walnut Ridge. Taking part in her signing ceremony at WBC were her parents and Williams softball coach Eric Newell.
