Strong & Mojica Earn Champions of Character Awards
The Williams Baptist College athletic department has presented Conna Strong and Jorge Mojica its 2010 Champions of Character Awards. They were presented the awards at WBC’s recent Honors Chapel.
Strong, a senior from Walnut Ridge, has played softball for WBC’s Lady Eagles the past four years. She is graduating with her degree in biology, and she is the daughter of Dana and Waynoma Strong.
Mojica, a junior from Berryville, Ark., plays for the soccer Eagles. He is majoring in physical education, and he is the son of Jose Mojica and Maria Morales of Chalatenango, El Salvador.
Strong and Mojica were chosen by coaches at Williams as student-athletes who exemplify all the qualities of the NAIA’s Champions of Character initiative. The five core character values of the program are respect, responsibility, integrity, servant leadership and sportsmanship.
They were selected for the Champions of Character honors from over 100 varsity athletes at WBC.
Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge.
