Students Compete in 5K

5K Winner: Justin Brickell

Williams Baptist College hosted the annual "Williams 5K" last week. Sixty seven students, faculty, and staff participated in the event as part of Spring Fling week.

Senior Justin Brickell took first place overall in the 3.1 mile run with a time of 19:32.

Jim Stearns of Stearns Race Timing provided professional race timing and equipment for the run.

Campus Recreation Supervisor Andrew Watson commented, "I cannot express enough how thankful I am that Jim Stearns donated his time, equipment, and energy for this event. With his expertise he brought the annual race to an entire new level."

Awards for the event will be given during the Student Affairs Award Ceremony Wednesday, April 20th beginning at 12:00 pm.
