Thompson, Brickell Crowned at Homecoming
Williams Baptist College has crowned Meagan Thompson and Derek Brickell its 2011 Homecoming Queen and King. The coronation took place during WBC’s annual Homecoming/Parents Day celebration Saturday.
Thompson, a senior from Des Arc, Ark., is majoring in music. She is the daughter of Glen and Dee Parson of Heber Springs, Ark.
Brickell is a senior from Jacksonville, Ark., and he is majoring in biblical studies. He is the son of Keith and Marilyn Brickell.
The two were crowned by Williams President Dr. Jerol Swaim and by last year’s queen and king, Anna Ranz and Jason Shifflett, both of Fayetteville, Ark.
Also on the Homecoming court were seniors Haley Motley of Bonne Terre, Mo., and Logan Chappell of McNairy, Tenn. Representing the junior class were Brittany Morgan of Pea Ridge, Ark., and Bobby Wheeler of Marion, Ark.
The sophomore class was represented by Lauren Pool of Sherwood, Ark., and Daniel McCormick of Lake City, Ark. And on the court from the freshman class were Jameea Ward of Missouri City, Tex., and Josh Consemiu of Cleveland, Tex.
The homecoming court and the queen and king were selected by a vote of the Williams student body.
