WBC Softball Camp is Saturday
The WBC softball camp that was originally postponed due to weather will now take place on Saturday, September 29, at the WBC Softball Field. A tarp on the field will protect it from rains falling on Friday, and the Saturday forecast calls for ideal weather conditions.

The morning session, which runs from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m., is open to players ages 7 to 14, with the younger and older players divided into two groups. The session is set for a large group and will remain open to all who wish to attend.
The session will focus on skills and drills. Each camper will get the opportunity to work with the Lady Eagles softball team and coaches. Areas to be covered include fielding, throwing, hitting, slapping, bunting, pitching, base-running and being a "good athlete."
Pre-registration for the morning session begins at 8:30. The cost is $25 per camper, with a team discount available for groups of seven or more.
There is also an afternoon session that allows high school players to take the field before college recruiters, but that session was open to a limited of players and has now been filled.
The Lady Eagles have been regular season champions of the American Midwest Conference for the past three years and went to the NAIA National Softball Tournament this year.
