WBC Theatre Continues Production Tonight
The 2010-11 season begins this week for the Williams Baptist College theatre program. A Servant to Two Masters will be staged Thursday and Friday evening, Nov. 18 and 19, at WBC.
The classic play by Carlo Goldoni is known as a commedia dell'arte masterpiece. Adapted for stage by Lee Hall of the Royal Shakespeare Company, it tells the story of Truffaldino, who stages a scheme to double his wages, and his meals, by serving two masters at once.
The lead role of Truffaldino is being played by Cody Robinson of Marion, Ark., while the two masters are played by Charles Stover of Earle, Ark., and Katie Williams of Imboden, Ark. Several other WBC students play supporting roles in the production.
The play is directed by Melinda Williams, who heads the WBC theatre program.
The production will begin at 8:00 p.m. Thursday and Friday in WBC’s Old Chapel, and the public is encouraged to attend. The cost is $3 for general admission and $1 for students and senior citizens.
