WBC Youth Emphasis Features Prominent Author


Dr. Richard Ross, whose book Student Ministry and the Supremacy of Christ has become an influential guide for youth ministers, will be the featured speaker for the 2011 Youth Ministry Emphasis at Williams Baptist College. The seminar is scheduled for March 1st and 2nd.

The event will begin with a community-wide session for youth ministers, volunteer leaders and parents the evening of Tuesday, March 1st. It will be held from 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. in WBC’s Manley Chapel, and it is open to all churches and denominations.

A series of four sessions will be held on Wednesday, March 2nd, starting at 8:00 a.m., in the Moody Room of WBC’s Mabee-Gwinup Cafeteria. Those sessions will last 50 minutes each and will explore in depth issues and challenges relating to student ministry.

Ross, a popular author and speaker, is a youth ministry professor at Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary.
