White Hall Goalkeeper Commits to WBC

4/11/2012

The Williams Baptist College soccer program received a commitment from Cody Jones on Monday morning.  Jones signed in front of his teammates, friends, family, and coaches at White Hall High School in White Hall, Ark.

Jones will graduate in May and continue his academic and athletic career at WBC in the fall of 2012.  He will be joining a team that set a school record for wins in a season in 2011 with seven.

“He is a tall and athletic goalkeeper with a great work ethic. He is the type of student-athlete that will help us build on last season,” said WBC Head Coach Shane Stolz.

Jones received 5A All-State honors in the 2011 season, and is considered a good shot to repeat the honor in 2012.  He is the son of Randall Jones of Redfield, Ark., and Tonya Jones of Pine Bluff, Ark.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
