Williams Jumps Back into Conference Play
Williams Baptist College Eagles and Lady Eagles will host American Midwest Conference foe Columbia College tonight, January 26. The Lady Eagles game will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.

The Lady Eagles have 10 wins and six losses overall, and three wins and two losses in conference. They have won four of their last five games.
WBC’s women have a balanced attack with six players averaging at least seven points per game. Kala Tyus leads the Lady Eagles, averaging 11.19 points per game. She is followed by Becky Caldwell at 9.63, Kimberly Wise with 9.06, Kim Sutterfield at 8.19, Jessica Shepard at 8.13 and Olivia Morris with 7.00.
Columbia is 13-7 overall, and are second in the conference at 3-1. They have three players averaging double figures: Kayla Rice at 14.30, Heather English with 14.10 and Airelle Eldridge at 11.95.
The Eagles look to pick up their seventh win overall, and second conference win of the season in the night cap.
The Williams men are led by junior forward Kyle Harvey, who leads the AMC in scoring with 19.17 points per game. He also ranks second in field goal percentage at 55 percent. Zabian Sanders follows up Harvey with 10.39 points per game.
The Eagles are ranked 23rd in the country in steals per game at 9.4 per contest.
Columbia is sitting in first place in the AMC with three wins and zero losses. They have an overall record of 16-5, and have won 10 of their last 11 contests.
They are led by the reigning AMC player of the week Jordan Dressler. Dressler averages 14.91 points per game, and 9.19 rebounds per game. He is ranked third in the NAIA in total rebounds, and 12th in total blocks.
The Cougars give up 59.81 points per game, which ranks fourth best in the NAIA.
