Williams Mourns Loss of Amy Betts Jarrett
Williams Baptist College lost a treasured alumnae and a great friend on Monday, Feb. 18, when Amy Betts Jarrett of Harrisburg, Ark., was killed in an auto accident. Amy was known for her stellar singing voice, as well as her delightful personality, during her days at Williams.
The funeral service is schedule for Friday, Feb. 22, at 2 p.m. at Thompson-Wilson Wynne Funeral Home.
Amy, who earned her bachelor’s degree in music from WBC, was a member of the Williams Singers for four years and was also sought after as a soloist at a wide range of campus events. After graduating, she became a music teacher at Harrisburg Middle School and High School. She and her husband were also youth ministers at Harrisburg First Baptist Church.
Amy, who was 32, is survived by her husband of ten years: Tim Jarrett of the home, one son: Luke Jarrett of the home, one daughter: Katlin "Lexi" Jarrett of the home, her parents: Colby and Alta Betts, two brothers: Wesley Betts of Searcy, Arkansas, and Michael Betts of Greenbriar, Mississippi.
The WBC family extends its deepest condolences in the loss of a dear lady.
