Williams Presents 2013 Service Awards


Williams Baptist College honored members of its faculty and administrative staff for achieving milestones of service this year.  The employees were presented service awards during WBC’s annual Academic Awards Banquet on Thursday, April 11.

Honored for 30 years of service with Williams were Dr. Ken Startup and Melinda Williams.  Startup is academic dean and professor of history, while Williams is assistant professor of speech, drama and journalism.

Recognized for 15 years at the college were Dr. Ken Gore, Dr. Chris Thompson and Tonya Bolton.  Gore is the H. E. Williams chair of Christian ministries, Thompson is associate professor of music and Bolton serves as the registrar.

Dr. Tom Jones, WBC’s president, presented the awards.  All of those honored received service pins reflecting their length of tenure.
