Heather Burnside
Heather Burnside had a great American Midwest Conference Tournament. Her bat was a constant threat during the tourney, especially in a decisive, 6-1 victory over McKendree, when Heather hit two home runs and drove in four of the Lady Eagle’s six runs. What makes her tournament play especially noteworthy is that she only recently returned to the WBC lineup after spending several weeks sidelined with a broken hand. She is batting .404 for the year, and her slugging percentage is .827.
Heather, who is from Jonesboro, Ark., is a graduating senior, majoring in health and physical education. She is the daughter of Annette Henson of Jonesboro and Harold Burnside of Piggott, Ark.
