Instruction Sessions

Method 1:  Class or Group Instruction
The Librarian  will provide instruction about library research and resources to classes on any topic or any of the Brick 'n Click series listed below.  Generally these classes are arranged on an individual basis with the instructor and last for one class period, although the Librarian is happy to schedule more extensive instruction for those classes that carry a heavy research component. Contact Pamela Meridith pmeridith@wbcoll.edu.

Method 2:  Personal and Individual Instruction
Instructors may also want to encourage their students to schedule an individualized session  with the Library staff.  In the personalized session, the Library staff works one-on-one with a student to develop research strategies for locating and incorporating materials in their research projects.  Instructors may assign/require attendance or offer extra credit.

A student will contact the Library staff with information about the research project and set up an appointment via email goodsonlibrary@wbcoll.edu.  In advance of the research appointment, the Library staff will prepare research strategies and resources, and then meet with the student for an in-depth session that will include  resources that are available in Felix Goodson Library, as well as other resources the student may access  via the Internet and other libraries.

Method 3:  Brick 'n Click Series Five Information Literacy Sessions
Select any number of sessions for lessons in information literacy for your classes.  Session 3 and 5 are the most popular sessions and are highly recommended. Contact Pamela Meridith pmeridith@wbcoll.edu .
