The reserve system is available for professors to place class materials in the Library for a limited amount of time. Items on reserve are located at the Circulation Desk and may be checked out for the amount of time specified by the professor. Holds and recalls may not be placed on items, but may be renewed upon special arrangement. A limit of one reserve item can be checked out at any time. Availability of reserve items can be viewed via the FGL online catalog, KOHA. Also see Loan Periods, Fines, and Limits. All reserved items (whether limited to in-library use or otherwise) must be checked out to the patron's WBC identification card - no exception.
- Hourly-Incremental Reserve. Books placed under one-hour, two-hour, etc., reserve may be used in the Library only; and may be used in the Library a second hour if the item has not been requested by another patron. However, Library staff may recall the item during the renewal for use by the new patron. All hourly reserves are due by closing of each day.
- Daily-Incremental Reserve. Books placed on one-day, three-day, or seven-day reserve may be checked out of the Library and are due before Library closing at the end of the daily increment: One-day, due before end of Library day; 3-day, due before end of third Library day; 7-day, due before end of seventh library day. daily incremental reserves cannot be renewed at the time of return; however, if after one day the item is not checked out then the same person may check it out again.
