Band Director


Williams Baptist College seeks qualified applicants for the full-time position of Band Director. This is a newly created position coinciding with the launch of an instrumental band program at Williams, to begin in the fall of 2018. Duties include recruiting students to WBC as band members, developing and managing a program budget and scholarship offerings, supervising and facilitating all band events, conducting rehearsals, and teaching instrumental music courses in the music department.

Founded in 1941, Williams Baptist College is an evangelical Christian liberal arts college and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission (HLC) and the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP). The college is located near Walnut Ridge, Arkansas and has an enrollment of 500 students. Owned and operated by the Arkansas Baptist State Convention, the college takes seriously its identity as a Christian institution in the Baptist tradition. Applicants must be individuals of the highest Christian character, competent professionals, and servant leaders and be committed to the college's spiritual and academic mission. A master's degree is required, and a doctorate is preferred.
